Coal mining classes offered
Henderson Community College Workforce Solutions will once again be offering coal mining classes.
●40 hour Underground Mining Training Course will be held on the weekends of January 16, 17, 23, 24, from 8am-6pm. The cost is $180 and payment is due on Monday, January 11 at 4:00 pm.
●Surface Mining Course will be hold on January 19, 20, and 21 from 8 am-4pm. The cost is $150 and payment is due on Friday, January 15 at 4:00 pm.
Classes will be held at the Herron Technology Center next to Union County High School in Morganfield. Please call Carrie Divine at 270-831-9711 for additional information or to register.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to take mining training classes, you must have a high school diploma or a GED and be able to go to Madisonville on a weekday to take a drug test and written exam.
