This is based on an external review of the program for its strengths and ability to support positive student outcomes . HCC is the only college in Kentucky to receive this accreditation.
“It is significant because HCC is one of the first 51 programs in the nation to receive this recognition,” said Bridget Murray, HCC associate professor and program coordinator for the interdisciplinary early childhood program. “It is like receiving the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.”
Murray added, “Through this process the program has improved and raised the standards for the students. It validates the quality of our program.”
