Planned Activities

All professional librarians will attend at least one Kentucky Library Association meeting during the academic year.

Kevin Reid attended the fall KLA conference in Louisville, Kentucky, and the spring KLA conference at Jeny Wiley State Park in Kentucky.

• Register for the respective meetings.
• Pay for registration and other travel expenses with the library’s travel account.
• Schedule release time for librarians to attend the meetings.
• Notify affected parties about the absence of the respective librarian.

80% of the library staff will attend local workshops to improve their computer skills.

Library staff members attended a number of computer training workshops during the past year including "Modular Training" on the new Voyager online public access catalog, on the Ariel system, a system for scanning and posting articles for interlibrary loans, and in desktop publishing software and applications.
