Planned Activities

80% of the library staff will attend local workshops to improve their computer skills.

All library staff members attended workshops this past year; however, not all attended workshops emphasizing computer training.  Barb Cummings attended Continuing Education workshops on MS Access and MS Excel.  This helped the library staff retrieve and print out Voyager usage reports.  Lynda Sinnett enrolled and completed an HCC credit course involving office systems.  This helped her prepare several documents for the library’s archives.  Although the planned activities have been beneficial, the library staff will not continue to monitor this performance standard and it will no longer be included in the College’s Planning Document.

• Register library staff to attend workshops.
• Schedule release time for library staff to attend workshops.
• Purchase accessories and/or materials required for workshops.
• Notify affected parties about the absence of library staff during meetings.
