Community Chorus
The Henderson Community Chorus, directed by Heather McCormick and accompanied by Jica Crafton, is a non-auditioned community/student ensemble that performs each semester, generally in the Henderson Fine Arts Center. The chorus is offered for credit or non-credit. Music is provided, and the only cost to participants is concert wear (generally black pants or long skirt with white, long-sleeved blouse for ladies and tuxedo or black/dark suit for men). There is no age requirement, although singers must be able to handle a lengthy weekly practice session. Music-reading is not a requirement, but it is beneficial. Rehearsals for the chorus are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30, in the TV Studio in the Library at Henderson Community College.
