How will I know what classes to take?
You will be assigned an academic advisor based on your chosen program of study or academic plan noted on your application for admission. Your advisor will help you develop an academic plan and choose classes to reach your goals. To make the best of your advising sessions, you should take advantage of the resources such as the KCTCS Catalog and program brochures available in the Admissions and Records Office or go to: http://www.hencc.kctcs.edu/academics/programs/ or http://www.kctcs.edu/catalog/
How will I know if I am admitted to HCC?
All applicants with a high school diploma or GED and those who are in good academic standing at their previous college are admitted to HCC. ACT scores and/or COMPASS scores are only used to place you in the appropriate entry-level courses and to consider you for our selective admissions programs such as nursing and dental hygiene/assisting.
When will I know if I am accepted into the Nursing or Dental Hygiene Program?
You will be notified about a month after the program admissions so you will have time to register for the course required for the program. Example: March 1 applicants will be notified prior to Open Registration for summer.
